Dynamic Engineering Team Manager – Infotainment to lead a cross-functional software development team delivering next-generation digital cockpit and infotainment features. The role involves managing teams working across Android Automotive OS, QNX, middleware, connectivity, audio, projection, and vehicle integration domains. The manager will drive end-to-end development from architecture to validation, ensuring delivery excellence, process compliance, and exceptional user experience aligned with OEM expectations.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage infotainment software development teams (Android, QNX, Middleware, Connectivity, Audio, Projection, System Integration)
Own project execution, ensuring high-quality and on-time delivery of production-grade infotainment features
Work closely with system architects and product owners to translate requirements into engineering deliverables
Oversee platform bring-up, performance optimization, connectivity stability, and UI/UX consistency
Drive process excellence through ASPICE, Agile practices, CI/CD improvements, and metrics tracking
Collaborate with Qualcomm, Tier-1 suppliers, and OEM customer teams to ensure alignment on design and delivery milestones
Provide technical mentoring, performance feedback, and career guidance for engineering team members
Facilitate cross-domain issue triage and root cause resolution across platform and application layers
Ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and certification obligations during development
Support vehicle-level validation, launch readiness, and post-production maintenance activities
Drive innovation to enhance boot time, responsiveness, audio/video performance, and projection stability
Represent engineering progress in program reviews, customer meetings, and leadership updates
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or related field
8–12 years in automotive infotainment software development
at least 3+ years leading engineering teams
Strong understanding of Android Automotive OS, QNX/Linux, or connected infotainment platforms
Experience with one or more of the following domains: Projection (CarPlay, Android Auto)
Vehicle HAL / Connectivity / Audio engineering
System services, native middleware, and frameworks
Familiarity with Qualcomm automotive platforms (SA8155/SA8295/SA6145) or equivalent SoCs
Good understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, SOME/IP)
Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and build tools (Jenkins, Git, AOSP/Yocto build)
Awareness of ISO 26262 (safety), ISO/SAE 21434 (cybersecurity), and ASPICE maturity practices
Ability to guide teams through complex debugging using tools like adb, logcat, Wireshark, QXDM, etc
Experience with OEM delivery cycles, change management, and release processes
