Job Description:

Assist in the smooth and efficient running of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating departments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in the smooth and efficient running of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating departments
  • Be responsible for the operation and installation of all equipment and engineering systems
  • Oversee the general repair and maintenance of the hotel
  • Report to work at the scheduled time, well groomed and in the correct uniform
  • Take full responsible for the performance of departmental activities within the shift, immediately bring to your manager attention any problem arises
  • Walk through, Maintain request priority and handle guest requests timelly
  • Lockout power sources/ restore power sources
  • Operate, install and maintain all electrical, mechanical related equipment, HVAC equipment, plumbing and water distribution systems, including steam systems and kitchen equipment
  • Perform inspections of operating machinery, pant rooms, systems
  • Conduct guest room maintenance in accordance with the preventative maintenance program
  • Ensure all workshop and working areas are kept clean, tidy and safe
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance and compliance with fire and safety regulations and all municipal, state and federal guidelines
  • Ensure all equipment is used according to the manufacturers recommendations and ensure all equipment is well maintained and in a good state of repair

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the hospitality industry
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proven knowledge of all aspects of Engineering, including plumbing and electrical, mechanical
