Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead to join our Elements team. In this role, you will lead the development of embedded "elements" — a suite of widgets that non-profits integrate into their websites to drive donations or display impact statistics. Tech Stack: Node.js, Preact, TypeScript, MongoDB, Cloudflare Workers, and Kafka. We already have a strong team of developers as well as a product and technical roadmap in place, but we are missing a strong technical leader to lead the team.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead a team of 3-5 Fullstack developers
  • Write and review code (approximately 70/30 split in favor of management)
  • Ensure the team follows company processes and engineering guidelines
  • Own the delivery of features and adherence to deadlines
  • Make technical decisions, prepare technical designs for new features, and align them with neighboring teams and your manager
  • Manage technical debt and maintain the technical backlog for your team
  • Mentor and develop engineers
  • conduct regular 1:1 meetings
  • Onboard new team members
  • Conduct performance reviews

Requirements

  • Experienced Engineering Team Lead with 10+ years of software development experience
  • At least 2 years as a Team Lead or Engineering Manager managing a team of 3–5 developers
  • Hands-on leader who can write code, make sound technical decisions, and design systems thoughtfully
  • Strong people management skills — hiring, coaching, giving feedback, and resolving conflicts
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Fullstack Developer
  • At least 5 years of experience in product companies working with our stack: TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis
  • English at B2+ level: you don’t struggle to find words and can confidently discuss any technical topics

Nice to have

Experience working in fast-growing companies or startups

What we offer

  • Private medical insurance for the employee and their family
  • 23 paid vacation days per year
  • 11 paid public holidays per year
  • 5 company-paid sick leave days
  • English learning courses
  • Relevant professional education
  • Gym or swimming pool
  • Home Office Setup Assistance: the company offers assistance with purchasing furniture (office chair, office desk, monitor) and other items to create a comfortable workspace
  • Co-working
  • Remote working
