Job Description:

Residence Inn Aberdeen is seeking a skilled Engineering Supervisor responsible for maintaining tools, equipment, and safety protocols in compliance with company standards. The role involves hands-on tasks as well as supervisory duties related to personnel management, guest service, and collaboration with contractors. Job Responsibility:

Install, maintain, perform preventative maintenance on, and recommend replacement of tools, appliances, and equipment
Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, etc.
Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves
Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies as needed
Maintain inventory and purchase orders log
Inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Enter and locate work-related information using computers
Operate power lift
Complete daily/weekly/monthly Compliance tasks, including the weekly fire alarm test, fire-pump run test, and generator run test
Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems
Assist management in development of disaster response protocols
Respond and attend to guest repair requests
Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees
Follow company and safety policies
Report maintenance problems and safety hazards
Maintain uniform and personal appearance according to company standards
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and manipulate objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Requirements:

Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
At least 2 years of related work experience
At least 2 years of supervisory experience
PC literate
Working with Contractors to ensure planned & reactive works are carried out to the required standards
Ensuring all work areas are left in a safe & tidy condition
Communication with Hotel Management & MP DOE regarding issues & assist with updating project trackers where required.
