Job Description

As the Engineering Superintendent at our Invicta Mill, you will lead a mechanical maintenance and capital works team to deliver planned maintenance activities that support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of sugar milling assets.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and support a capable team, building safety, capability, and strong performance culture
  • Lead maintenance and capital works to keep mill operations safe, reliable, and running at peak performance
  • Plan and deliver maintenance activities that support a well-run, scheduled, and efficient site
  • Work closely with planning and Reliability Engineering teams to bring work to life on the ground
  • Drive improvements that lift reliability, reduce downtime, and improve overall plant performance

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior technical engineering role within a heavy industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of maintenance, reliability, and asset management principles
  • Experience working with engineering standards, codes of practice, and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to manage maintenance systems and support safe, reliable plant performance

Nice to have

  • Experience in the sugar industry or similar continuous processing environment
  • Working knowledge of SAP (PM/IM/PS modules)
  • RPEQ registration or eligibility
  • Experience delivering capital projects or project coordination activities
  • Familiarity with reliability-based engineering, lifecycle management, and performance metrics
