Job Description:

The Engineering Team Leader will assist the Engineering Maintenance Manager with the effective and efficient maintenance and operation of plant, machinery and services and the proficient management of engineering staff on shift, to enable the production unit to operate within budget and to production targets and product quality standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Overseeing and carrying out effective changeovers to the adherence of the Changeover procedure
  • Carrying out training and skill assessments during changeovers
  • Liaise with Production on equipment breakdown prioritisation
  • Manage shift Engineering team on absence and motivation
  • Review maintenance activities and identify opportunities to improve cost effectiveness
  • Responsible for KPI reporting, creation of shift performance. Production output through effective rectification of machine faults, preventative maintenance work and continuous improvement activities

Requirements:

  • A recognised apprenticeship followed by experience leading a team of Multi skilled engineers
  • Experience of good manufacturing practices and modern manufacturing techniques and implementation of systems and procedures for improved manufacturing performance
  • People Management Skills
  • Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding skills

Nice to have:

PLC fault finding would be advantageous
