Job Description:

Within the Citi CTO team, the API and integration team are seeking a seasoned Sr. Engineering Developer to join the team. The API and Integration team works on innovative solutions for the wider bank, supporting data governance and driving modern architecture. Exposure to AI solutions and AI development is part of the role. The ideal candidate must possess strong programming skills, technical fundamentals, and CI/CD pipeline experience, and must demonstrate adaptability in fast-paced environments.

Job Responsibility:

Own, Lead and manage technical components within the team, ensuring alignment with business objectives
Work with senior stakeholders to develop a vision and technical roadmap for products
Collaborate with other teams to ensure technology integrates and aligns with different technology platforms and solutions
Work with clients to deliver outcomes, collect feedback, and drive continuous improvement
Design, Develop and implement object-oriented programming and technical design
Work with CI/CD pipelines to build and deploy pipelines
Write code in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or Golang
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems/bugs at a moment's notice
Collaborate with teammates on mutual components/codebases
Apply basic networking, REST API, databases, and CLI knowledge
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Ensure the quality of the software through code reviews, technical design reviews, unit testing, and integration testing
Capture requirements, see client frustration and solve for it
Identify opportunities to deliver value for clients, capture stories and prioritize backlog
Own risk and security issues, ensuring solutions deliver according to policies going above and beyond as an exemplar.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a system architect or product owner
Demonstrable experience with driving strategy, technical roadmaps and collaboration with wider teams
Experience with senior (MD) IT stakeholders and business clients
Proven experience as senior developer or similar role
Proficiency in object-oriented programming, technical design and architecture
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or Golang
Experience with any standard CI/CD tools like Jenkins, uDeploy, Tekton, Harness, etc.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical problems/bugs
Basic understanding of networking concepts, REST APIs, databases, and CLI
Excellent communication skills with strong team collaboration
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment where requirements can change throughout the project.

Presentation and communication skills
Understanding of GenAI capabilities such as system prompts, tool selection and Model context Protocol for sharing data and services
Software team management skills
Any GUI / UX design and development skills.
