Job Description:

This international food manufacturing company is seeking an engineering purchaser to manage procurement of spare parts and maintenance equipment onsite in Milton Keynes. Responsibilities include sourcing parts, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining compliance with standards such as ISO 45001.

Job Responsibility:

Responsible for the procurement and management of all spare parts and maintenance equipment used onsite
Source engineering parts and tools from new clients and their existing book
Negotiate with suppliers, bring on new clients, and purchase materials in line with expansion and stock tracking systems
Identify areas where cost and waste can be reduced
Perform financial administration and reporting
Purchase engineering equipment and parts to ensure specifications are met, delivered on time, in full, and at the lowest cost
Strive for continuous improvement
Assist with the efficiency of stock control
Update back office systems and computer maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Involvement in the risk assessment process to reduce risks
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment standards per ISO 45001.

Requirements:

At least 3 years experience as an engineering purchase / buyer or procurement specialist etc
Previous experience working within an engineering team, preferable on a FMCG food manufacturing site
Approaches tasks with a can-do attitude and has the ability to think of creative solutions to problems
Able to learn new IT systems quickly with good attention to detail
Knowledge process POs in an accurate and timely manner in line with the finance team.
