The Engineering Internship is designed to build essential, practical engineering skills that complement academic learning and help transition students into professional roles. Interns will gain exposure to industrial power systems—including switchgear and electrical distribution equipment—while working alongside experienced engineers. This internship offers meaningful project work, field exposure, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Job Responsibility:
Support engineering activities related to power distribution and switchgear
Assist with engineering designs, calculations, and technical evaluations
Collect, organize, and analyze operational or engineering data
Use computer software (e.g., Excel, engineering tools) to support project work
Create spreadsheets, perform data entry, and support technical documentation
Review and assist in processing shop drawings, including markups
Organize one‑line diagrams, schematics, and other technical documents
Participate in field visits to observe installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines on project execution
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager
Requirements:
Pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to interpret data and translate insights into recommendations
Familiarity with Excel
Comfortable working in both office and field environments
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Coursework in power systems, circuits, or electrical machinery
Familiarity with switchgear, power distribution, or protection concepts
Interest in the energy, industrial infrastructure, or heavy‑equipment sectors
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial systems
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
High accuracy and strong attention to detail
Nice to have:
Experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus
