Job Description:

Hyatt's Mechanic performs various duties to ensure the hotel's equipment, facilities, and infrastructure are in good working order. Their duties are diverse and crucial to guest satisfaction and the overall success of the hotel.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for overnight shift coverage and therefore must possess strong trouble-shooting skills in all areas of maintenance in guest rooms meeting space, and front of the house areas, as well as back of house areas including kitchen, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on major equipment and systems, using a windows-based computer system
  • Maintaining logs of maintenance supplies and parts, and ordering replacements as needed
  • Following all company safety and security policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years building maintenance experience is preferred
  • Good communication skills are necessary
  • Must have good technical skills
  • Must have good problem-solving skills
  • Must have good physical stamina
  • Must be able to lift a moderate amount of weight
  • Must have availability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays
