Job Description:

R.Power is a leading independent renewable energy producer in Poland and other European markets: Portugal, Spain, Italy, Germany, and Romania. Since 2012, we have been at the forefront of the energy transition, offering solutions across the entire renewable energy value chain: developing, commercializing, and constructing renewable energy assets. Our portfolio includes photovoltaics (PV, our main technology), wind power, and large-scale energy storage systems (BESS). R.Power is one of the largest independent renewable energy companies in Europe. Due to the company’s growth, we are looking for: Engineering Manager.

Job Responsibility:

  • Elaboration of layouts based on project type, in collaboration with the Development and Grid teams
  • Collaboration with the Grid team for prefeasibility analyses from the grid connection point of view
  • Preparation, with the support of the Grid, Project Management, Construction, and Development teams, of technical specifications and minimum requirements to support Procurement in EPC contracts
  • Support for Procurement in the procurement process by reviewing offers together with the Grid and Project Management teams
  • Execution of engineering tasks for project equipment in cooperation with the EPC
  • Checking studies and documentation (detailed design, protection settings, etc.) prepared by the EPC for energization
  • Support for the Grid and Project Management teams in approving solutions for discussions with Grid Operators’ Committees
  • Verification of A3 test results performed by certified companies in accordance with local legislation
  • Verification and validation, together with the Grid, Project Management, and Construction teams, of detailed design documentation prepared by the EPC
  • Analysis of conditions for connecting PV and wind projects to transmission and distribution grids
  • Support for the project team in the process of obtaining permits and implementing the investment
  • Support for Procurement in the procurement process by reviewing offers together with the Engineering, Project Management, and Construction teams

Requirements:

  • Higher technical education in electrical power engineering, energy, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience — preferably including experience working for a transmission or distribution system operator
  • Excellent knowledge of the operating principles of power grids (both transmission and distribution)
  • Familiarity with local regulations and procedures for connecting renewable energy sources to the grid in Romania
  • Ability to work with technical and regulatory documentation
  • Good command of English
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to solve problems independently
