Job Description:

As a Software Engineering Manager for the EarnIn payroll team, you will work cross-functionally with various teams and will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of our new EarnIn payroll applications. Come make a difference with us and have fun doing it!

Job Responsibility:

Work with the leadership across EarnIn to deliver our mission: build a financial system that works for everyday people
Be a strong partner to product and other engineering teams to drive improvements to business metrics and build new features
Create a roadmap and drive its implementation with your team and across the company
Dig into the code when required
Recruit other great engineers for your team and help in the recruiting efforts for other teams
Be a mentor and coach for the engineers in your team
Provide technical leadership to developers in your team and the engineering organization
Manage cross-functional relationships with all teams to deliver high-quality products
Support the team in maintaining a robust level of stability while continuing to execute at great speeds
Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives at EarnIn

Requirements:

5+ years of software development experience
Strong expertise in modern frontend technologies—React.js preferred
2+ years in a management role leading engineering teams
Experience managing a team of 4+ frontend engineers
Experience consistently delivering high-quality, user-facing features built on top of critical product and platform infrastructure
Creative, tenacious problem solver with a get-it-done attitude
Can work comfortably with a cross-functional team made up of PMs, Analysts, and both mobile and back-end-focused engineers
Can create and maintain a positive, healthy team environment
A software engineer who moved into management
Ready to roll up the sleeves and get to work on technical challenges
