We’re looking for a pragmatic and thoughtful engineering leader to help scale our platform and team. We’re hiring an Engineering Manager to build out and lead our Vendor and Contracts team. This team will enhance Procurify’s vendor and contracts solution by creating a new vendor portal and vendor collaboration features that are key to our mid-market product strategy. In this role, you’ll manage a team of software engineers and serve as a technical leader within the team’s business domain. You’ll work closely with the Head of Engineering to grow technical leadership and further develop a highly engaged, high-performing team. This is an opportunity to build a new AI-native team within Procurify, delivering key strategic initiatives at the cutting edge of software engineering practices.
Job Responsibility:
Manage a team of 4–6 full stack, AI-native software engineers
Provide coaching for technical excellence, fostering individual career growth, and nurturing a culture of trust and deep collaboration
Lead your team to deliver consistently against ambitious goals
Own the technical direction and long-term vision for the Vendors and Contracts team
Guide your team's efforts in building our vendor portal and collaboration features using cutting-edge AI development tools
Partner closely with the team’s Product Manager and Designer
Mentor senior engineers and team leads
Work with partners across the organization—including our Security, Platform, and Data teams—to deliver robust, high-quality, and compliant software solutions
Requirements:
5+ years of software engineering experience
At least 3 years in a direct people management role
Experience building scalable, customer-facing SaaS products using modern technologies (Python/Django, TypeScript/React, AWS, Kubernetes) and AI tools
Deep understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, vector databases (Databricks/pgVector), and agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, Google ADK, or similar)
Strong experience with software design principles and patterns
Strong knowledge of agile development practices, CI/CD, test automation, and building for observability
A self-driven, accountable leader who thrives in an autonomous, fast-paced environment and leads with empathy, compassion, and a people-first approach
Exceptional communicator
Maintains a professional and current LinkedIn profile
Nice to have:
A strong interest or background in the FinTech ecosystem
Direct experience building products in order requisition, purchase order creation, vendor management, or B2B procurement
