Job Responsibility:
Lead, mentor, and support engineers while setting clear technical direction for the pod
Build a high-ownership, growth-oriented culture through effective feedback, coaching, and collaboration
Contribute to key architectural discussions, technical decisions, and hands-on problem-solving with senior engineers
Work closely with Product to challenge requirements, drive clarity, and ensure alignment on priorities
Partner with Support & Operations to understand customer issues and operational realities, feeding these insights into planning and improvements
Communicate progress, risks, and decisions transparently with stakeholders and leadership
Drive end-to-end execution by planning, prioritising, and tracking engineering work
Maintain strong development velocity by removing blockers and enabling smooth workflows
Uphold high engineering standards and ensure the pod builds reliable, well-tested, and operationally sound systems
Own pod-level metrics (e.g., latency, success rates, efficiency) and use data-driven insights to continuously refine execution and delivery
Requirements:
6–9 years of experience in software engineering
Proven track record of transitioning from individual contributor to people manager
Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments
Combines hands-on technical expertise with effective team leadership and mentorship
You excel at making decisions that serve business goals while nurturing the development of your people
