Gong is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Manager - dedicated to developing our Communications Capture team. This is a new team being built in our Dublin R&D hub. The Comms Capture team is responsible for Gong's core data – the data pipeline that ingests and capture customer’s interactions from external communication systems (emails, calendars, phone/web conferencing calls, texts). These pipelines are online, are used by all of the company's customers, and forms the basis for a wide range of Gong's products. serving thousands of customers and constantly impacting Gong's user base to become raving fans of our product.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and expand a growing team of backend and frontend engineers
Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards
Collaborate closely with the Product Managers to shape the team’s roadmap, balancing both product goals and engineering priorities
Lead by example, driving continuous improvement and optimization of the team’s products and infrastructure
Design and architect long-term technical solutions that deliver a significant impact on both our wide platform and customers
Coach, mentor, hire, and grow individuals on the team to reach their full potential
Requirements:
Previous experience leading and developing growing teams
Proven industry experience as a Senior software engineer
Strong technical background focusing on large-scale, cloud-based web applications
Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (advantage)
Experience with user-facing products (advantage)
Holding a degree in computer science or a similar field (preferred)
Proven experience in project management and team leadership
A passion for motivating, mentoring, and cultivating people
