Job Description:

We are looking for an Engineering Manager for Range Area (RA) Bathroom & Water. You will be responsible for leading range development of engineering in the business, creating dream bathrooms that are cleverly designed, inclusive, and sustainable. Your role involves managing materials, requirements, platform development, and working with varied material categories. Being a leader within engineering, you’ll collaborate across organizations and help simplify priorities for the team while leading with trust, clarity, and developmental focus.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the range development of engineering in the business across strategic, tactical and operational points of view
organize the Range & Engineering function for development and running operations
contribute to the creation of the RA Bathroom & Water business plan and portfolio, in line with Range strategy and IKEA directions
secure roadmap and implementation for engineering-related topics like standards, materials, requirements, shared solutions and platform development
lead and develop the engineering team
give clarity and direction while making decisions to optimize engineering activities.

Requirements:

Is an experienced leader within engineering with a proven record of product development and business development and performance over time in a similar context
has experience of working with varied material categories and navigating in complex environment
deep interest, knowledge and heart for engineering and innovation, leading business and people together
lead the product development of the Range Area in an efficient and effective way by collaborating with Product Engineering colleagues in other RA’s, working close to your team
lead topics across organizations and together with stakeholders through transformation with curiosity and possibility to recognize opportunities throughout the whole value chain
is used to prioritizing and simplifying for your teams and organization, for best use of time and resources.
