Randstad has been given the exclusive opportunity to support in the recruitment of a key leadership vacancy for one of our market leading transport clients in North Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager, to be based at the clients Melbourne Airport operations facility primarily, however you will have oversight across the Victorian and Tasmanian Team sites. Responsible for 3 main sites, and the automation systems and equipment at these sites, along with a team of maintenance supervisors and technicians, this role has a key focus on PPM and corrective maintenance.
Job Responsibility:
Managing relationships with internal customers and external suppliers
Maintenance standards, HSE results, recruitment, technicians development
Setting objectives for teams and individuals that align with the strategic plan and review and reward performance formally
Ensuring company safety policies and processes are always followed
Continuous improvement mindset - improving up-time and reducing breakdown frequency through the implementation of continuous improvement ideas
Workshop KPI’s, Inventory and stock levels
Requirements:
Experience across high speed sortation or automation facilities in logistics, food, FMCG or automotive is the ideal background however all relevant skills and experience will be considered
Strong leadership experience, ideally teams of 10+
Ideally from a strong technical background
Experience with change management and proven examples of how this was implemented across the workforce
Experience managing multi skilled teams at varied levels
