The Marketing Technology (MarTech) team builds and operates the technical backbone behind Bolt’s global marketing engine. We design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and tools that power data-driven marketing workflows, automation, and analytics across Bolt’s ecosystem. We work closely with Marketing, Product, and Data teams to build reliable, scalable, and developer-friendly systems that support Bolt’s growth today and into the future.
Job Responsibility:
Leading, mentoring, and growing a team of senior software engineers, fostering ownership, collaboration, and a strong engineering culture
Setting clear expectations around performance and growth, and supporting engineers through feedback, coaching, and career development
Providing technical and architectural guidance for large-scale backend systems built primarily in Node.js and TypeScript
Ensuring systems are designed for scale, reliability, and operational excellence, supporting billions of events and high-throughput workloads
Collaborating closely with Marketing, Product, SRE, and other Engineering teams to align on priorities, ownership, and execution
Continuously improving team processes, rituals, and engineering practices while promoting knowledge sharing across the organization
Requirements:
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Comfortable with modern programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Scala, or Java
Successfully built or managed internal platforms, libraries, frameworks, tooling, or large-scale projects requiring cross-team alignment
5+ years of hands-on software development experience and a deep understanding of writing readable, testable, maintainable, and performant code
Proven ability to get things done, set a clear technical vision, establish effective engineering processes, and make data-driven decisions
