Engineering Excellence: Significant hands-on experience in various contexts, building scalable, robust, and fault-tolerant systems and full-stack products, preferably on the JVM or PHP stacks.

Job Responsibility

Lead a growing team of application engineers, with a hands-on leadership approach expected from all engineering managers
Bring strong technical expertise and a proven track record in large-scale distributed systems and/or guiding teams through complex technical transitions
Drive strategic technical decisions in collaboration with cross-functional teams, and lead cross-domain technical initiatives that align with overall business and product goals
Identify improvements within the team, propose actionable solutions, and coordinate efforts to improve team velocity and effectiveness
Help shape the broader domain vision, influence strategic direction, and set goals for ongoing product improvement
Balance hands-on engineering with big picture thinking, taking pride in mentoring and developing high performing teams

Bachelor’s degree or higher (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, IT or closely related field, plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer
2+ years of hands-on experience in Magento custom software development and performance optimization
Understanding of Magento 1 and Magento 2’s code and theme architecture
Experience installing and configuring third-party extensions for Magento 1 and Magento 2
Experience using version control to manage coding projects
A solid portfolio demonstrating back-end web application/website development capability
Written and verbal communication skills

Job Responsibility

Participating in project planning and tactical direction
Working with and developing CMS back-ends
Maintenance and feature development for existing web applications/websites
Building complex web applications either from scratch or within existing frameworks
