Engineering Manager, Developer Platform

• Recruit, grow and manage a diverse and inclusive team of engineers working on Notion's developer products
• Facilitate planning—the prioritization, sequencing, and staffing of work
• Maintain a high quality bar for everything the team ships
• Collaborate with Business Development, Marketing, Partnerships, Support, and Sales on platform strategy, maintenance, support, and feature rollout
• Shape how Notion's engineering organization works—develop technical practices, recruiting and onboarding strategy, planning process

• Managed engineering teams with a record of shipping high-quality products
• Experience with public-facing APIs and developer-facing products is a bonus
• Built or committed to building diverse and inclusive teams
• Ability to create collaborative, empowering, supportive, and challenging team environments
• Sufficiently deep background in product and technology to ask the right questions and make tradeoffs
• High tolerance for ambiguity and change
• Value empathetic and direct communication
• Curious and willing to adopt AI tools

• Managed engineering teams at startups during periods of rapid growth
• Managed geographically split teams (NY and SF)
• Familiarity with computing pioneers like Ada Lovelace, Douglas Engelbart, Alan Kay
