We build simple yet innovative consumer products and developer APIs that shape how everybody interacts with money and the financial system. The Remember Me - Consumer team is building Plaid’s next generation of direct-to-consumer products. Our mission is to help people feel more confident and secure in managing their financial lives through intuitive, high-trust experiences powered by Plaid’s network. This team is developing a new consumer-facing security and bank account monitoring product focused on proactive fraud detection and financial account visibility. It represents an important step in expanding Plaid’s direct-to-consumer offerings. We are a small, fast-moving team focused on 0→1 development, owning the experience end-to-end from backend systems to user-facing flows. As the TLM for the Consumer team, you will split your time between hands-on technical leadership and people management. You will be accountable for the technical foundation of the product, leading the design and evolution of systems that monitor financial accounts and power user-facing experiences. You will drive key architectural decisions, raise engineering standards through design reviews and mentorship, and help the team balance rapid iteration with long-term system health. At the same time, you will build and lead a strong engineering team. You will create clarity around goals, support individual growth, and hold a high bar for ownership and delivery. You will work closely with Product and Design to take complex, ambiguous problems and turn them into simple, trustworthy experiences for users.

  • Track record of building and growing high performing engineering teams (either as an engineer or a manager)

  • You will be responsible for leading an Engineering team within the Consumer domain of our product, including their overall health, productivity and impact
  • You will work with Engineering Managers, Product Leads and other key stakeholders to understand and shape the overarching consumer strategy
