As an Engineering Manager, you’ll play a key role in turning Satispay into the financial home of every Italian business. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like: Lead and grow a Business-oriented team: own the day-to-day of a team of 5–8 engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvement. Drive the delivery of ambitious projects: translate product and business goals into a clear technical roadmap, and ensure the team executes on it reliably and predictably. Collaborate across domains: work closely with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to align on dependencies, priorities, and shared standards. Hire and develop talent: participate in recruiting to grow the team, and actively invest in the growth of individual engineers through feedback, mentorship, and stretch opportunities. Report up and communicate clearly: keep leadership informed on progress, risks, and blockers, translating technical complexity into business-relevant terms. Job Responsibility

Requirements
5+ years in backend engineering, with at least 2 in a team lead or tech lead role managing a squad in a product-driven environment
strong command of distributed systems and API design, with a track record of delivering robust, scalable services in a high-growth or regulated industry
demonstrated ability to own end-to-end delivery of complex features, from technical scoping and planning to production rollout, balancing speed with quality
comfortable engaging with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
able to represent your team's work to leadership and translate business needs into technical direction
genuine interest in how technology is reshaping the way businesses manage money, with an appreciation for the responsibility that comes with building in a regulated, high-trust environment
