The Answer Experience team is reimagining how people access information and get answers to all their questions in ChatGPT. Working across research, engineering, product, and design, we’re building experiences that seamlessly bring together intelligence, real-time information, and rich, interactive visual content. No matter what question a user comes to ChatGPT with, this team makes sure they get the perfect experience. We’re looking for an experienced engineering leader to grow and guide our Answer Experience team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Hire and manage a diverse, high-performing engineering team
  • Collaborate with teams across research, product, design, and engineering to enable step-change improvements to how ChatGPT answers look and feel
  • Coach engineers to maximize their impact and growth
  • Create an inclusive culture that makes all feel welcome while enabling radical candor and the challenging of groupthink

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering management
  • Passion for building and evolving delightful, essential product experiences
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change
  • Strong track record of coaching engineers to achieve their peak potential
  • Voracious and intrinsic desire to learn and fill in missing skills
  • Talent for sharing learnings clearly and concisely with others
