Job Description:

The Engineer Leader supports, participates in, and leads projects/programs while building client trust and validating a world class solution. The EL leads engineering best practices across several disciplines and has experience with coaching and mentoring concepts and methods.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading complex technical discussions, projects, and/or programs
  • Validating world class technical solutions on projects
  • Ensuring engineering best practices are followed across multiple engineering and solution disciplines
  • Managing technical risk on a project
  • Providing oversight, direction, and technical expertise to engineering teams on a project
  • Leading an engineering discipline to develop new and upcoming engineers and technical experts
  • Preparing client-specific solutions
  • Driving the development and maintenance of project artifacts that are required to ensure success for a project
  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing work process improvements
  • Reviewing technical project details with project leadership
  • Managing the integration of data from multiple company systems and analyzing the data to draw insights on project technical solution
  • Ensuring safety regulations are adhered to and issues identified and resolved
  • Maintaining a positive, assertive relationship with project engineers to achieve project milestones and overall project success

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or Physics preferably from an ABET accredited program with 7+ years of experience in any Engineering discipline with Construction experience
  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or Physics preferably from an ABET accredited program with 5+ years of experience in any Engineering discipline with Construction experience
  • Strong knowledge of one or more technologies and various application methods
  • Experience with collaborative techniques
  • ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
  • Ability to lead and participate in technical discussions with project leadership
  • Ability to lead the application of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment for one or more specific branches of engineering to the design and production of various goods and services
  • Strong Knowledge cost estimation
  • Strong knowledge of finance systems and basic principles of finance management
  • Ability to design, build, and development of a new product, technology, or service
  • Ability to calculate and present the costs of a project when budgeting
  • Ability to develop and maintain trust and trusting relationships
  • Strong knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding
  • Applied experience in developing and providing solutions to complex technical challenges
