The Engineer Leader 2 (EL2) supports, participates in, and leads projects/programs while building client trust and validating a world class solution. The EL2 leads engineering best practices across several disciplines and has experience with coaching and mentoring concepts and methods.
Job Responsibility:
Leading complex technical discussions, projects, and/or programs
Validating world class technical solutions on projects
Ensuring engineering best practices are followed across multiple engineering and solution disciplines
Managing technical risk on a project
Providing oversight, direction, and technical expertise to engineering teams on a project
Leading an engineering discipline to develop new and upcoming engineers and technical experts
Preparing client-specific solutions
Driving the development and maintenance of project artifacts that are required to ensure success for a project
Identifying, recommending, and implementing work process improvements
Reviewing technical project details with project leadership
Managing the integration of data from multiple company systems and analyzing the data to draw insights on project technical solution
Ensuring safety regulations are adhered to and issues identified and resolved
Maintaining a positive, assertive relationship with project engineers to achieve project milestones and overall project success
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or Physics preferably from an ABET accredited program with 10+ years of experience in any Engineering discipline with Construction experience
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or Physics preferably from an ABET accredited program with 7+ years of experience in any Engineering discipline with Construction experience
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) certification
Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) certification
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) training
National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) training
Strong knowledge of one or more technologies and various application methods
Experience with collaborative techniques
ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
Ability to lead and participate in technical discussions with project leadership
Ability to lead the application of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment for one or more specific branches of engineering to the design and production of various goods and services
Strong Knowledge cost estimation
Strong knowledge of finance systems and basic principles of finance management
Ability to design, build, and development of a new product, technology, or service
Ability to calculate and present the costs of a project when budgeting
Ability to develop and maintain trust and trusting relationships
Strong knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding
Applied experience in developing and providing solutions to complex technical challenges
