Job Description:

EDP Renewables is a global leader in the renewable energy sector and the fourth-largest wind energy producer. The Engineering Lead Associate will manage the design process of Wind, Solar PV and BESS projects in Poland, providing technical support from development through construction to ensure cost minimization, deadline compliance, and quality.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the design process of the Wind, Solar PV and BESS projects in Poland in coordination with the Development, Corporative and Project Management teams
  • Create and implement best practice engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures
  • DEVELOPMENT ENGINNERING: Coordinate the preparation of technical projects for the development of Wind Farms, Solar PV plants and BESS
  • TENDER ENGINNERING: Coordinate the preparation of technical packages needed to launch the engineering and the construction Request for Proposals (RFPs)
  • ELECTRICAL INTERCONNECTION COMMON INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN: Participate in the design of the electrical infrastructure of the generation plants for the interconnection to the electric network common infrastructure
  • DETAILED ENGINEERING: Coordinate the preparation of the detailed engineering of the wind farm/BESS/solar PV project
  • SPECIALIZED STUDIES COORDINATION: Coordinate and validate with other Technology Units the execution of specific key studies
  • ENGINEERING TRANSVERSAL SUPPORT: Support the elaboration of the specifications for basic and executive projects that the local engineering team performs
  • TECHNICAL STANDARDIZATION: Coordinate and assure the application of the common standards in the studies and projects
  • PROJECT HANDOVERS TO CONSTRUCTION: Make an optimum transfer of projects under Engineering responsibility to the Construction unit
  • COMPANY POLICY AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE: Understand and comply with company policies, processes and procedures

Requirements:

  • Master of Science on Engineering
  • At least 6-year experience in Renewable Energy project, i.e. Solar/BESS and/or Wind projects
  • Experience in managing and supervision of engineering projects
  • Experience in coordination of engineering teams and external engineering companies
  • Knowledge of International technical normative and local Polish normative
  • English – medium to advanced level (working knowledge)
  • Polish – proficient
  • Ability to perform duties in a collaborative, multi-national working environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills
  • Solving problems and open-minded attitude
  • Communicative and sociable

Nice to have:

  • A postgraduate in Renewable Energies will be valued
  • Knowledge of GIS and PVsyst will be valued (not mandatory knowledge)
