Job Description:

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Engineering Lead Analyst to contribute to and support the mainframe network software and hardware for IBM’s Mainframe Server Systems (zOS and zVM platforms). Responsibilities include configuring mainframe network communications software, supporting encryption requirements, and collaborating with vendors for stability improvements. This hybrid role requires a bachelor’s degree and six years of experience in IT, particularly in mainframe networking within the financial services industry. Job Responsibility:

Contribute to and support the mainframe network software and hardware for IBM’s Mainframe Server Systems (zOS and zVM platforms)
Configure and assist with IBM z/OS mainframe network communications software
Install, configure and support network related third party system software for 3270 emulation (HOD/PCOMM), file transfer products (ConnectDirect/FTPS/Sftp/TDAccess) and session managers Supersession/TPX
Support encryption requirements for the various products and protocols supported on the zOS platform both internally and for external teams to mitigate compliant risks
Utilize provision of Level three technical support for all mainframe networking issues for the supported software, hardware and z/OS & zVM platforms
Work with digital certificates for internal MSPKI (digital certificates used for encryption Brocade), external DigiCert’s and vendor provided certificates
Monitor the performance of mainframe networking components, analyze issues and help drive remedial action
Collaborate with vendors on network engineering work efforts, stability improvements and vulnerability mitigations
Configure and assist Brocade switch network with data replication between datacenters

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related field, and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation supporting mainframe networking components in the financial services industry
Six (6) years of experience must include: Designing, engineering and implementing Mainframe Network software on IBM's Mainframe Platforms
Administering and configuring IBM zSeries Network Software and Network Hardware switches
Coordinating and engineering encryption requirements for various Software and protocols supported on IBM mainframe platforms
Utilizing SMP/E tooling from IBM to facilitate software installation and maintenance
Utilizing Job Control Language, CLIST (Command List) and REXX (Restructured Extended Executor) to automate network monitoring and recovery processing
Utilizing Assembler programming language for machine low-level programming tasks to customize and debug system level exits
