Job Description:

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Engineering Lead Analyst in Houston, Texas to conduct requirement analysis and system design. Responsibilities include database application development, technical design, capacity planning, data analysis, and collaboration with product managers and business teams

Job Responsibility:

Conduct requirement analysis and system design
Work with the product managers and business users to understand the requirements, identify, document, and execute the database technical work needed for the end product, monitor, and maintain the database application
Collaborate with business team and product managers to discuss the business requirements for effective systems database design
Design data systems to serve use cases based on factors such as performance and reliability
Create technical design document, which includes both high-level design and low-level design
Responsible for development, including designing and developing database programs, and executing coding and development tasks
Conduct unit and integration testing
Develop data models, database objects, and related artifacts
Serve as a subject matter expert to provide technical solutions and support to developers
Perform code reviews to ensure quality in the deliveries
Estimate and allocate the resources and capacity planning
Create individual tasks, estimate the development and testing efforts of those tasks and coordinate with product management team in order to support the overall of project delivery
Create business stories, tasks, and subtasks using Jira, and provide estimates in story points against each individual Jira
Provide ground level estimates by dividing the bigger chunk into smaller tasks using Jira tool
Decide delivery dates based on the resource availability, capacity planning, and book of work given by business
Prepare reports and correspondences concerning project specifications, activities, and status
Responsible for performing production releases and monitoring the stability of the production database
Perform CD/CI
Perform data analysis with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data

Requirements:

Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, or related field and 4 years of experience as a Technology Lead, Software Developer, Senior SQL Server/BI Developer, BI Consultant or related position creating automated test cases and validating steps to ensure software quality
Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 6 years of the specified progressive post-baccalaureate experience
Database design and scripting for data storage, transformation, ingestion and retrieval
Identifying bottlenecks, and performance tuning the database queries
Developing security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage
Maintaining data integrity and security through access controls and encryption techniques
Creating database tasks to satisfy business requirements, documenting database solutions and test cases
Data profiling and developing data quality rules, data modeling (Relational, Dimensional, NoSQL), and Extract Transform Load (ETL) data patterns
Delivering database objects through SIT, UAT and Production
Source version control
SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) 2012 and higher, RDBMS Oracle 12c and higher
