Job Description:

CTS Enterprise Analytics Services organization is seeking a skilled and proactive Starburst and Business Intelligence Tools Administrator Operations Lead to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise data query platforms. Responsibilities include managing the availability and performance of Starburst, Tableau, Cognos, and MicroStrategy environments while supporting enterprise-wide analytics.

Job Responsibility:

Administering, supporting, governing and maintaining Starburst and Tableau, Cognos, MicroStrategy environments
installing, configuring, upgrading, and patching Tableau Server/Tableau Cloud
integrating Starburst with SAS/Tableau interface
monitoring server activity, query performance, and optimization
managing user access, authentication, and role-based access control
ensuring compliance with enterprise security and data privacy policies
troubleshooting platform issues
configuring database instances and security settings
optimizing infrastructure costs and scaling
collaborating with cross-functional teams
providing L3/L4 support
publishing documentation and best practices
driving root cause analysis for production issues
automating installations and configurations
providing technical direction and strategic guidance
implementing disaster recovery strategies

Requirements:

10+ years IT experience in the areas of Starburst and BI Tools Administration (Tableau)
5+ years of Linux, Shell scripting experience
proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes-based deployments
strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
team player with a willingness to share knowledge, cross-train, and learn new technologies
flexible, hardworking, self-motivated, and positive outlook with the ability to handle challenging initiatives
ability to prioritize, organize, make decisions, and problem-solve under pressure
self-starter who can work independently and as part of a geographically diverse team
Starburst Certified Practitioner certification (preferred)
Tableau Certified Associate or Server Certified Professional (preferred)
