Job Description:

The Engineering Lead Analyst is a pivotal senior-level role focused on developing and managing Citi's technology infrastructure, especially within the global email backbone environment. Responsibilities include strategic leadership, system integration, problem resolution, and mentoring, while ensuring compliance with risk management and regulatory standards.

Job Responsibility:

Serve as a technology subject matter expert and strategic advisor
Contribute to creating and evolving the technology domain roadmap for enterprise messaging
Ensure seamless integration of new functionalities
Define and drive system enhancements
Lead root cause analysis to implement long-term solutions
Enhance malware defenses and optimize message delivery performance
Resolve complex delivery issues
Manage global email environment and archive flow
Improve the email encryption platform
Mentor junior team members
Assess and mitigate risks in business decisions
Drive compliance with laws and regulations
Report control issues transparently.

Requirements:

6+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering role, with a proven track record in complex, large-scale enterprise environments
Demonstrated experience working within Financial Services or a similarly regulated, large, complex, and global environment
Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Sendmail, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
Minimum 3+ years of practical experience with Proofpoint POD, including policy management, incident response, and optimization
Profound understanding of the SMTP Protocol and its intricacies
Proven project management skills with the ability to lead and contribute to multiple initiatives simultaneously
Clear, concise, and impactful written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional analytic and diagnostic skills
Strong ability to work in a matrix environment, partnering across diverse geographical locations
Highly capable of working independently, managing multiple tasks
Proven track record of driving operational process change and improvement.

Nice to have:

Experience with other email security platforms, archiving solutions, or messaging platforms
Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to email and data retention
Scripting and automation skills
Relevant industry certifications
Experience with cloud-based email security solutions.
