Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Kitchen & HVAC Mechanic with a strong background in hospitality kitchen equipment and commercial HVAC systems. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and supporting critical kitchen, restaurant, bar, and HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operations and minimal downtime.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform daily maintenance and repairs on kitchen, restaurant, and bar equipment, including but not limited to stoves, dishwashers, ice machines, deep fryers, and walk-in and reach-in coolers
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance (PM) to ensure equipment reliability and reduce operational downtime
  • Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs in a timely and effective manner
  • Perform HVAC repairs, troubleshooting, and general support as needed
  • Actively participate in the preventive maintenance program and respond to guest requests and work orders as assigned
  • Track equipment-related inventory, maintain established stock levels, and document parts usage
  • Complete all required documentation related to equipment history, including repair details and associated costs
  • Conduct equipment walk-throughs, readings, and log entries as directed by Engineering Management, ensuring records are organized and stored in designated locations
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of a Refrigeration Usage Log
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned shops, mechanical rooms, tool carts, and tools
  • Perform work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all safety standards
  • Support additional trade work as needed, including basic electrical and plumbing tasks

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial kitchen equipment repair experience required
  • Working knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC systems is required
  • Hotel or hospitality industry experience is preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
