Engineering Designer

• Develop detailed 3D models and construction documents using Revit for mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing)
• Create accurate layouts and coordinated models for Design permit
• Review project specifications, submittals, and markups to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Work closely with project managers, field supervisors, and other trades to ensure constructability and clash-free coordination
• Participate in coordination meetings, internally and with GC/trade partners (e.g., Navisworks clash detection)
• Maintain version control of drawings and ensure timely updates based on design changes or RFIs
• Assist with BIM execution plans and adhere to company drafting standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP & NavisWorks design software
• Understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping) in commercial and industrial buildings
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
• Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and other related project management programs as needed
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, both professional and interpersonal

• Experience working with BIM coordination platforms
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, IMC, IPC)
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical drafting/design and an Associate’s degree in an Engineering Technology or 4+ years of experience in mechanical drafting/design within the construction industry
• Proficiency in Revit is required
• experience with Navisworks and AutoCAD is a plus
