The Engineering Co-op Student will support the Project Engineering team in executing various engineering and project management tasks across Distribution Facilities. This role offers hands-on experience in facility operations, project planning, and technical documentation, while contributing to real-world engineering initiatives. The student will also gain exposure to and experience with industry-standard engineering software packages, including AutoCAD, CEASAR II, and HYSYS, used for design, analysis, and documentation.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in evaluating and improving facility processes and operations
Support the development of project scopes, specifications, and documentation
Help maintain and update engineering drawings such as P&IDs and loop diagrams
Participate in field work and contractor coordination under supervision
Contribute to cost tracking and budget preparation for small-scale projects
Help monitor project schedules and milestones
Assist in identifying risks and opportunities related to project timelines
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations and THTS
Shadow experienced engineers and participate in team meetings
Contribute to engineering reports and presentations
Engage in training and development opportunities provided by the department
Learn and apply engineering software tools including AutoCAD, CEASAR II, and HYSYS
Requirements:
Currently pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Prior internship or project experience in facility design or operations is a plus
Familiarity with AutoCAD, CEASAR II, and HYSYS is preferred, but not required
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Willingness to travel up to 25% within North America
Nice to have:

Prior internship or project experience in facility design or operations
