We are looking for an Engineering Analyst II to support construction and capital planning activities through accurate reporting, data analysis, and clear communication with key stakeholders in Providence, Rhode Island. This onsite opportunity is a Long-term Contract position and is best suited for someone who can gather information from multiple sources, turn it into meaningful insights, and help teams make informed operational decisions. The role also includes occasional travel to nearby warehouse locations and close collaboration with construction, resource planning, and contractor-facing teams.
Job Responsibility:
Compile and organize data from construction-related sources to produce recurring reports that support planning and execution decisions
Develop dashboards and visual summaries that highlight contractor results, safety trends, and performance metrics for leadership review
Extract and analyze information from safety reporting platforms to support oversight of construction and restoration work
Prepare stakeholder-focused reporting for resource planning teams by translating raw data into practical business insights
Track key work components and maintain visibility into progress across functional activities tied to the capital program
Enter and validate contractor invoice details and other accounting-related information with a high level of accuracy
Support construction supervisors with work package coordination, documentation, and status tracking
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to present data clearly and help drive decisions related to safety, performance, and cost considerations
Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze data and build clear reporting tools
Experience creating dashboards and reports, with Power BI familiarity considered an advantage
Background working with construction, engineering, capital projects, or similar operational environments
Ability to communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners through reports and presentations
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple data inputs and reporting deadlines
Comfort working onsite in Providence, Rhode Island, with availability for local warehouse travel as needed
Experience with systems such as SAP, GIS, or related enterprise tools is helpful
Ability to evaluate business needs, apply critical thinking, and support cost-conscious decision-making.
