The primary purposes of the engineering administration apprentice are: to ensure that all engineering compliance records relating to Regulations and Codes of Practice are maintained to provide a robust auditable trail, to ensure that engineering maintenance and large scale defect repair activities are adequately planned and scheduled and to ensure that historical maintenance records are readily accessible. The role holder has no line management requirements, but carries significant responsibility for engineering Regulatory compliance through the operation and management of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). You will be required to work closely with the engineering leadership team and will often be expected to prioritise your own workload. You will attend / chair meetings as required to deliver the best possible support to engineering and its customers in all areas of the business.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain engineering asset register in CMMS and its associated maintenance and defect schedule
Maintain compliance records of Regulatory maintenance (pressure systems, emergency lighting, PAT testing, electrical safety, LOLER/FLT/MEWP/passenger lift, weighing machine and metal detector calibrations)
Build and maintain engineering department key document control register/system
Operate and manage the CMMS including scheduling and issuing work, drawing down engineering data for analysis, liaising with engineers
Complete general document administration duties within engineering department
Complete general financial administration duties (raising financial approvals, collating receipt notes and invoices)
Provide help to engineering stores for orders in absence of stores person(s)
Any other reasonable request of line management
