Your Role at Baxter: The Baxter User Experience (UX) team supports global development and advanced technology groups through interaction, visual, and industrial design. They also conduct ethnographic research and Usability testing. Our designers work closely with collaborators and customers to research, develop, and deliver user experience solutions that stand out for clinicians and patients.
Job Responsibility:
Uncover actionable insights through user research, translating them into specific user needs and developing them into safe and differentiated solutions
Communicate design intent through storyboards, user stories, workflows, wireframes, and visual builds from low-fidelity prototypes to final design assets
Balance the needs of different collaborators within Baxter, including hardware and software engineering, marketing, clinical affairs, and quality
Provide inputs to usability testing and customer research, and depending on experience, lead research or testing activities for defined aspects of a project
Be a collaborative team member with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements:
Degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Industrial Design, Human Factors, or Design Research
Skilled in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Axure, and related prototyping or visualization tools
Experience with user research, interaction design, information architecture, and usability testing
Able to express concepts through storyboards, workflows, prototypes, and visual design assets
Comfortable balancing input from Engineering, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, and Quality
Capable of generating and refining concepts that address user needs and constraints
Experience applying AI tools to design or documentation workflows is a plus.
