Job Description:

Utility Engineer position at JW Marriott Hotel Santo Domingo responsible for maintenance, repairs, and ensuring proper functioning of hotel facilities and equipment. The role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and maintaining the overall physical plant of the hotel.

Job Responsibility:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment
Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts
Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair
Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on equipment, plumbing, electrical components
Program TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties
Use Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance work
Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
Driver's License
Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus

Nice to have:

Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance
