Join a dynamic team of engineers with diverse expertise, driving innovation at the forefront of 5G technology. The System Design Engineer's role is to design, analyze, validate and deploy hardware, software, and/or other Technology/Network solutions to maintain, enhance, and evolve the T-Mobile Network and Systems. As part of the Innovation Realization team, you’ll develop and implement cutting-edge solutions to support marketing events and proof-of-concept projects, collaborating with sponsorship and innovation partners in technology and sports and entertainment industries. Your work will involve evaluating technologies in both laboratory settings and real-world outdoor environments, ensuring seamless performance in high-impact scenarios. This fast-paced role offers the opportunity to apply a broad range of technical skills while pushing the boundaries of connectivity and user experience. Development of tools may be required in order to most efficiently solve technical or business challenges including technology evolution, performance optimization and/or quality validation. This role works on technical assignments that are focused on evolving technologies and capabilities and functions largely independent of supervision.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 4 years of technical engineering experience in fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency in technical testing with industry-standard tools (eg
  • QXDM), including troubleshooting, and reporting
  • Practical, hands-on experience with cellular devices, computer technology, IP networking, as well as switching and routing
  • Proven track record with deploying, implementing, and supporting various technologies
  • Solid background in Radio Frequency (RF), digital communication, and wireless technologies
  • Hands-on experience with different operating systems – Linux, Red Hat, Windows
  • Coding experience with latest programming languages a plus – Python, Java, C#, C++
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerBI
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and technologies, with an understanding of their applications in technical fields
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration on technical topics
  • Self-motivated team player with a proactive mindset, eager to learn and contribute with minimal supervision
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the U.S.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications or Computer Science (Required)
