Engineer Steel Towers & Infrastructure

• Project work in interdisciplinary teams for the holistic, joint definition of components (purchasing, quality, service, assembly, etc.If necessary, planning, controlling and coordinating self-responsible development tasks in development projects with the "Microsoft Project" software
• Independent and responsible development of equipment components for wind turbines in the field of steel- and hybrid towers
• Responsibility for components like general mechanical design e.g. brackets, cable guidance but also components that are partly relevant to personal safety e.g. platforms and railings, ladder- and fall arrest systems, service lifts- and climb assist systems
• Creation of requirements/specifications, product specifications and development reports
• Design and dimensioning (analytical, if necessary numerical) of components in the area of steel, aluminium, welded, bent and sheet metal constructions
• Review of work results from other internal or external design engineers
• Collaboration in cost-down teams and programs to optimize components
• CAD modelling and drawing creation with NX-Unigraphics
• Product data management within Teamcenter 14
• If necessary, evaluation and processing of quality issues in the area of responsibility
• If necessary, support of external service providers
• If necessary patent research or creation

• Completed degree in mechanical engineering (diploma, master's degree, university of applied sciences, university, state certified engineer or engineering related studies), preferably with a specialization in design, manufacturing technology or product development
• NX-Unigraphics and Teamcenter. Experience in the development/design of steel/sheet metal/welded constructions
• Experience in the creation of development documents
• Experience in the application of development methodology
• Experience in the application of the software "Microsoft Project"
• Knowledge of project management, experience is a plus
• 5+ years of relevant experience is mandatory
