Job Description:

As a Systems Engineer (2nd Line Support Engineer), you will ensure the Operational IT infrastructure is maintained at the highest standards. You will work with your IT colleagues and manufacturers on the development and revision of the IT system support strategies in order to ensure our SLA and system availability targets are met, and our Service Performance is brought to a higher level.

Job Responsibility:

  • Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution
  • Maintain optimal level of customer satisfaction and identify all customer issues and recommend appropriate resolution
  • Providing 2nd-level support by: researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, identifying solutions, carrying out configurations, performing upgrades, carrying out migrations
  • Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
  • Write and maintain documentation

Requirements:

  • Microsoft Windows server experience with multi-user applications
  • Experience with VMware servers (installation, configuration, management performance monitoring and tuning of virtual machines ESXi servers)
  • Experience with Citrix and Nutanix
  • Proficiency with Virtual machine troubleshooting and performance issues
  • Experience creating VM deployment templates and automated deployments
  • Storage Area Network experience with high availability and performance for virtualization
  • Fluent in technical English (spoken & written)
