Job Description:

Within the flight test domain, the 'Physical Measurements' sub-department verifies and supports all instrumentations for laboratory and flight test installations for all aircraft programs and specifies designs, develops the new technologies of sensors to be used on new projects. The job holder will integrate a service composed of around 20 people. He/She will be the Optical fiber and Lidar measurements referent for the service. For this, he/she will be in charge of development and in service support of aeronautical instrumentations including the metrological control of its components. Furthermore, he/she will contribute to the innovation and research projects looking for the latest technology to be applied for the future projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • To be referent of optical fiber and lidar measurements
  • Ensure technological monitoring and manage the obsolescence of the relevant equipment by ensuring technological watch
  • Ensure chain measurement metrology
  • Decide on new improvements/innovations of optical fiber systems to fully meet the development and certification needs of the aircraft
  • Integrating and validating new tests means to ensure safe flight test installation
  • Manage the interfaces between the different actors: Design office, architects, test specialists, flight test engineers, suppliers

Requirements:

  • Physical measurements in the test instrumentation domain mainly on Temperature & Strain measurements by using optical fibers (> 3 years of experience)
  • Experience in instrumentation definition
  • Experience in uncertainty analysis
  • Aeronautic system knowledge
  • Analog electronics skills
  • Digital signal processing knowledge
