Job Responsibility:
Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding area, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC functions, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools
Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment
Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy. Keep records of rooms completed
Program TV's and perform general engineering-related inventory duties
Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment
Clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel
Observe equipment and utility meter readings on a daily basis
Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies
Learn emergency procedures
Complete various additional tasks and assignments as needed
Conduct daily walkthroughs of all mechanical and equipment rooms to ensure proper operation
Record daily utility meter readings and maintain accurate documentation
Coordinate and request emergency services from appropriate vendors during your shift for issues related to elevators, fire alarms, FPL, and other critical systems
Requirements:
At least three years’ experience in installing, maintaining, repairing and trouble-shooting electrical and mechanical systems such as but not limited to
air condition systems, generators, automatic transfer switches, transformers, steam boilers, hot water heaters, centrifugal water pumps, control systems and building electrical systems
Consistently practices safe work habits including but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Must be able to work on tasks with minimum to no supervision
Onerous and committed to seeing repairs through to the end
Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting equipment (up to 50lbs unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, stooping, crawling or walking while carrying out job functions
Must be able to stand for long periods of time outdoors and indoors in working conditions exposed to heights, noise, vibration, heat, water, chemicals, fumes and dust
