Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited institution required
2+ years of AEC industry experience
Experience in MEP consulting demonstrating project-level skills
Aptitude for designing HVAC systems, air distribution systems, and hydronic systems
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit required
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build collaborative relationships with team members, clients, and vendors
Organized, flexible, self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred, with intent to obtain Professional Engineer licensure within three years

Job Responsibility

Prepare detailed HVAC system designs
Perform engineering calculations
Coordinate with project teams
Support projects through construction
Design basic HVAC systems with guidance, including air distribution systems, hydronic systems, steam systems, and control systems
Perform heating and cooling load calculations, ventilation calculations, and system sizing calculations
Size, select, and schedule mechanical HVAC equipment
Layout equipment rooms and coordinate air and hydronic distribution systems with other building systems
Participate in coordination with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
Review contractor product data submittals and shop drawings and assist with construction administration activities
