Job Responsibility

  • Translates business and technical requirements into test cases, test scenarios and scripts
  • Evaluates testability of business and technical requirements
  • Implements structured system testing (manual and automated) strategies/methodologies
  • Provides feedback on the target technical specifications from testability and feasibility point of view
  • Understands the domain and the product in detail and recommends the appropriate test strategy
  • Designs test cases, drives the test case sign off processes with the stakeholders, and tests execution and reporting
  • Provides technical guidance & support to Engineers I/II
  • Designs & develops automation testing architecture, frameworks, scripts and requirement traceability matrix
  • Leads in setting up, maintaining testing environment
  • Develops test patterns to evaluate the solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Leverages automated testing suites, explores edge cases and drive quality with development teams
  • Evaluates initial analysis of defects, root cause analysis, and resolves all escalated issues
  • Generates regular KPI and risk monitoring & analysis reports for leadership review
  • Establishes processes & tools to maintain automation scripts and generates reports for faster bug tracking & reporting
  • Recommends and evaluates continuous improvement ideas for improving testing and quality assurance practices
  • Simplifies and modernizes testing tools and techniques
  • Evaluates and recommends test automation tools and determines suitability with various development tools
  • Provides technical support and strategic recommendations in software testing and automation for all systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience
  • 4+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, preferably in system/software quality and testing
  • Behavioral Skills: Critical Thinking, Detail Oriented, Impact and Influencing, Interpersonal Communication, Multitasking, Problem Solving, Time Management
  • Technical Skills: Automated Screening and Testing, IT Controls, Software Testing Frameworks, Technical Documentation

  • Define, implement and maintain backend automated test suites for unique hardware test cases
  • Conduct QA testing, collect data, and compile reports using LabVIEW and DIAdem environments, which drive engineering test hardware and test execution
  • Perform hardware Type Acceptance testing including SiriusXM customer radio hardware, satellite receiver module, and antenna
  • Perform DVP&R testing related to environmental and durability qualification of SiriusXM vehicle OEM receiver modules
