Job Description:

The Engineer II position at The St. Regis Deer Valley involves addressing guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, managing tools and equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The role requires proficiency in various technical skills related to engineering and maintenance in a hotel environment.

Job Responsibility:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio)
Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and buildings
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts
Train and mentor other engineers
Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair equipment, plumbing, and electrical issues
Perform surface preparation, painting, and minor drywall repairs
Ensure compliance with safety and security policies and procedures
Move, lift, or carry objects up to 50 pounds without assistance

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
Valid Driver’s License

Nice to have:

Experience in air conditioning and refrigeration
Experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls
Experience in carpentry and finish skills
Experience with kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management
