Job Description:

The Engineer II role at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch involves responding to guest repair requests, maintaining tools and equipment, troubleshooting and repairing technical systems, adhering to safety standards, engaging with guests professionally, and supporting team goals while embodying the Gold Standards of Ritz-Carlton. Preferred qualifications include hotel engineering experience, technical background, and certifications.

Job Responsibility:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
display proficiency in various technical categories including air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls
repair or replace PVC copper pipe
troubleshoot and perform basic repair on equipment, plumbing, electrical items
program TVs
assist with surface preparation and painting
perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties
perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
train and mentor other engineers
perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
at least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
valid Driver’s License
