Engineer II

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests
• communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
• perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
• visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
• carry equipment and operate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings
• maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts as needed
• display proficiency in various categories, such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry
• troubleshoot and repair basic equipment and guestroom items
• perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties
• assist with painting, minor drywall repair, and light bulb replacement
• ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
• provide assistance to other employees and guests as needed
• use Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance work
• perform mid-level troubleshooting of MEP systems
• train and mentor other engineers
• perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities

• Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
• must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
• high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
• at least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience

experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
