Job Description:

This role involves responding to guest repair requests, conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, and performing other maintenance tasks within a hotel environment. Ideal candidates should have relevant certifications, technical skills, and a strong customer service orientation.

Job Responsibility:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Carry equipment
Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and shut-offs for buildings
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts
Display proficiency in one technical category, above average skills in two more categories, and basic skills in remaining categories
Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment
Perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties
Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work
Perform mid-level troubleshooting of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems
Train and mentor other engineers
Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities

Requirements:

Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements

Nice to have:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
vocational or technical background
experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
at least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
