Engineer I

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests
• perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment
• visually inspect tools and equipment
• carry equipment
• identify and operate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs
• maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts
• communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts
• perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, cosmetic items, and other guestroom items
• test and troubleshoot tools and equipment
• use Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance
• repair landscaping irrigation
• clean up repair areas
• collaborate with the team to achieve goals
• assist individuals with disabilities.

• Basic knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building
• ability to perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement
• ability to perform basic computer tasks such as inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes
• physical ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
• adherence to safety and security policies
• driver's license
• high school diploma or GED equivalent
• some experience in general maintenance and painting.

Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance.
