Job Description:

Steere is seeking an entry level NBIS Bridge Inspection Engineer with 0-2 years’ experience to join our Inspection Group and assist with inspection projects throughout New England. The successful candidate will have an Associate’s degree in Civil engineering (Bachelor’s preferred), as well as a willingness to learn and a desire to work on bridge inspection projects both indoors and out.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review plans and previous bridge inspection reports in preparation for the inspection
  • Assist the team leader in bridge inspections
  • Assist in preparing/reviewing inspection reports in accordance with various state requirements
  • Project budget and schedule involvement

Requirements:

  • Associates in Civil Engineering
  • Bachelor of Science preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Physically capable of performing continuous field work
  • Desire to learn and work in a team environment

Nice to have:

  • EIT
  • Interest and experience in bridge design and bridge ratings
